Our history
1993
Setting up a business
Reinhard Janzen founded LEAN-TECHNIK, thereby laying the foundations for what is now LEANTECHNIK AG.
1996
A breakthrough at EuroBLECH
A newly developed rack-and-pinion gearbox will be unveiled to a wide audience of industry professionals for the first time at EuroBLECH in Hanover.
1999
Development into a systems provider
LEANTECHNIK is expanding its product range to include bespoke lifting and positioning systems, which are now marketed under the name LEANTECHNIK SYSTEMS.
2003
Foundation of LEANTECHNIK AG
The growing company is being converted into its current legal form as LEANTECHNIK AG.
2008
Launch of lean SL® 5
With lean SL® 5, LEANTECHNIK is introducing a robust and cost-effective range of gearboxes for synchronous reciprocating movements.
2010
Launch of lifgo® 5
The new lifgo® 5 generation of gearboxes enables fast, precise and powerful lifting and positioning movements.
2015
Expansion into the USA
By establishing a US subsidiary, LEANTECHNIK is strengthening its presence in the North and Central American markets.

To mark its 30th anniversary, LEANTECHNIK is presenting lifgo hp®, a high-precision further development of its rack-and-pinion technology.

As a public limited company based in Oberhausen, LEANTECHNIK designs and manufactures the lifgo® and lean SL® gearbox series, as well as partially assembled and ready-to-use systems under the name LEANTECHNIK SYSTEMS. Our international sales and service network extends across Europe, the USA, Australia, South Africa and Asia.
LEANTECHNIK has built up industry-specific expertise, particularly in the automotive sector, through many years of collaboration with leading manufacturers. Thanks to the wide range of possible combinations offered by lifgo® and lean SL®, we can find a bespoke solution tailored to your specific application.
